The first thing I want you to know is that I never planned on becoming a personal injury lawyer. Early in my career, I prosecuted criminal cases, handled tough construction lawsuits, and dove deep into complex commercial litigation. The paychecks were steady, and the victories felt rewarding enough. But I kept running into the same question: “Who am I really helping?” I found myself restless and unfulfilled, stuck in a career that didn’t line up with who I am as a person. I was raised in South Texas, taught to be straightforward and genuine.
I grew up around ranches, cattle, and blue-collar work that shaped my beliefs: take care of people, solve problems creatively, and never pretend to be someone you’re not. Lawyers like to claim they’ll fight harder than anyone else. Sure, I fight for my clients, but fighting alone doesn’t solve problems. Strategy does. Calm under pressure does. Compassion does.
That’s why I shifted my practice to personal injury law, not for the quick settlements, but because in these cases, I’m actually helping someone heal, rebuild, and move forward. It’s personal, meaningful, and at times painfully real work and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
